CENTRAL FALLS, R.I. (WPRI) - A Central Falls man is being held in connection with a deadly shooting.

Curtis Taylor, 30, faced a judge Monday morning on charges of conspiracy to commit murder, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and posession of cocaine.

He's being held on $50,000 surety bail. Taylor has a criminal record, with a prior conviction on a felony assault charge, police said in a news release.

The charges come after police found a man shot in Taylor's apartment
in a triple decker on Chestnut Street back on Saturday.

Police have not released the victim's name. Officers wouldn't give any further details on what the motive or other circumstances might have been.
