BOSTON, Mass. (WPRI) - The daughter of Massachusetts' Senator-elect got some national exposure herself Tuesday morning.

21-year-old Ayla Brown, daughter of newly-elected Senator Scott Brown , sang a song from her new CD "Circles" on the CBS Early Show.

Brown, a previous contestant on American Idol, also sat down for an interview following her performance. She talked about her father's embarrassing comments made during his accepatance speech last week, when he proclaimed that both of his daughters were available.

Brown said it was a "very funny moment" for her family. Though she did admit it made her blush, she also said date offers poured in.

As for her dad, Brown said she is very proud.

"I think people in Massachusetts really got it right with him," she said. "He's been doing a great job, and the campaign was really exciting."

During her Idol stint in 2006, Brown made it to the final 16 performers.
