RI gas prices up 3rd straight week

Regular averaging $2.70 per gallon

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) - Gas prices are up three cents in Rhode Island, the third week in a row of rising prices.

 

A weekly survey out Monday by AAA Southern New England finds says the average price of a gallon of regular unleaded rose to $2.70.

A survey by the state Energy Office puts the price at a penny higher, $2.71 per gallon.

AAA says prices have risen 20 cents since three weeks ago.

Prices have risen 15 percent since this time last year.
