PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP/WPRI) - Gas prices in Rhode Island have nosed down slightly after rising for three straight weeks.
AAA Southern New England reported Monday that a gallon of regular, unleaded was averaging $2.69. That's down one cent over last week and about the same price as right before Labor Day.
A separate survey Friday by the state government found average gas prices were around $2.71.
The cost at the pump has risen 21 percent since last year at this time.
