JOHNSTON, R.I. (WPRI) - The town of Johnston will be holding a public H1N1 flu clinic for seniors.
The clinic will be held on Sunday, February 7 at the Johnston Senior Center on Hartford Avenue. It is the first clinic for senior citizens to be held in Rhode Island.
At an event on Thursday, The director of the Rhode Island Department of Health , Dr. David Gifford spoke about how the state is fighting the spread of the H1N1 flu virus.
"I would encourage everyone to get a vaccine." said Gifford. "Its a statewide effort."
