PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) - A new task force will investigate allegations of misuse of federal stimulus funds received by the Rhode Island.
Representatives of both state and federal law enforcement agencies will be part of the task force, which was announced Tuesday by U.S. Attorney Peter Neronha.
Neronha said the state expects to receive more than a half billion dollars in stimulus money and that it's critical to prevent the funds from being misused.
The task force's first meeting is scheduled for Thursday.
