FALL RIVER, MA (WPRI)- - In just one week Fall River police seized four guns and arrested several different men in what is being called proactive policing.
According to the Fall River Police Department , between March 2 and March 7, several different men were arrested for varying charges. Some charges include resisting arrest, operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license and carrying a firearm without a license.
Another charge included was trafficking with intent to deliver cocaine.
The Fall River Chief Daniel Racine said that the officers involved with the arrested need to be applauded for their proactive policing. He also went on to say that due to the diligence of the officers they helped stop what could have lead to several violent crimes.
