EAST GREENWICH, R.I. (WPRI) - The long-planned film about the life of Rhode Island boxer Vinny Paz has its director.
Producers Chad Verdi and Noah Kraft announced Thursday that Ben Younger was attached to direct "Paz," and re-write the script.
Principal photography on the film is scheduled to begin in September, ac cording to a post on Verdi Productions' website .
Younger's previous credits include the financial thriller "Boiler Room" and the Meryl Streep comedy "Prime."
Verdi Productions said an official announcement on the film's cast would be made soon.
