WAREHAM, Mass. (WPRI) -- Police in Wareham have released a sketch of a man believed to have attacked a woman while impersonating an officer.

The man is a white male, according to police, about 40 years old, 5'8" tall and weighing about 200 lbs. He had dark hair and a pronounced Adam's apple.

The victim said she was pulled over last Saturday night by a dark-colored SUV or pickup truck with a blue flashing light on the dashboard, visible through the windshield.

The man told the woman she had a broken tail light, then asked for her license -- and told her to step out of the car.

That made the woman suspicious, and she started to roll up her window and drive away. The man then struck her in the face with the flashlight.
