PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI)-- Two teenagers have been charged in connection with a triple homicide that happened less than two weeks ago.

Police say that the first suspect, 16, was arrested on Thursday morning and the second suspect, 17, was taken into custody at about 9:45 Thursday night. Both teens were transported to police headquarters after being located by the US Marshal Service and the Violent Fugitive Task Force.

Providence Police released that both teens are charged with three counts of murder, three counts of use of a firearm while committing a crime of violence, and one count of conspiracy to commit robbery.

Attorney General Peter Killmartin said that there could be another arraignment.

"It is the intent of the Office of the Attorney General that we will seek to waive them into adult court for these crimes,” said Killmartin at a news conference on Friday.

The teens are being held at the Rhode Island Training School and will appear in Family Court.
