DOUGLAS, Mass. (WPRI) – A former champion arm wrestler is scheduled to go on trial this week in connection to the death of his wife.

Allen Stilkey, 41, is charged with manslaughter in the February death of 44-year old Lisa Stilkey.

Stilkey’s wife jumped from a second floor window of the couple’s Douglas home during what police called a violent argument.

Allen Stilkey’s trial is scheduled to begin Tuesday in Worcester Superior Court.

Prosecutors say Stilkey threatened to kill his wife before her jump and that he took out a $250,000 life insurance policy on his wife weeks before her death.

An attorney for Allen Stilkey says his client is not responsible for his wife’s death.
