TAUNTON, Mass. (WPRI) -- Taunton Police are looking for a man suspected in holding up a Sovereign Bank on Broadway on Wednesday.
The Hispanic male, about 5' 5" tall, 150 pounds, and wearing a hooded sweatshirt, entered the bank just before 4 p.m. and demanded $50 and $100 bills.
The bank teller said the bank didn't carry those denominations.
Dissatisfied, the man jumped over the counter, started opening cash drawers, and grabbing cash, Det. James Coelho told Eyewitness News. The man ran from the bank -- toward Paull Street -- when employees told him police were coming.
Police are now showing a surveillance photo of the alleged robber to neighboring businesses and residents to try and find him.
