SOUTH KINGSTOWN, R.I. (WPRI) - A gas station employee says he was shaken up a bit after a recent armed robbery.
South Kingstown Police were called to Potter's Service Station in Wakefield Tuesday night.
The employee says he was closing the business for the night when two men forced him to his knees at gunpoint.
The worker, Craig Licker, says he handed over $250 to the pair, but they demanded more.
"They tried getting me to break into the safe," Licker said, "I don't know the code. they tried threatening me with a knife and gun but i just told them you're not going to get it."
The two men eventually took off on foot, and police are still looking for them.
There is no surveillance video from the incident.
The business owner says he is now taking more safety precautions for his workers.
