Bank inside Stop and Shop robbed, suspect sought

SEEKONK, Mass. (WPRI) – Police responded to a reported bank robbery in Seekonk Friday morning.

The alleged robbery happened at the Citizens Bank inside the Stop and Shop on Route 6.

Initial reports claim the suspect passed a note to the teller, claiming he had a weapon, but no weapon was shown.

The suspect is said to be a white male, about 5’7-5’8 tall, wearing a camouflage shirt, and a baseball cap with a wig under it.

An eyewitness tells Eyewitness News that the suspect fled in an older model vehicle.
