PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) -- Police have a suspect under arrest after a holdup at the TD Bank on Westminster Street in Providence Monday.

"It's a robbery. No dye pack. Don't try anything," the man had said. The teller shoved a wad of cash across the window at him.

The teller saw him run westbound on Westminster Street.

The teller had said he was 5' 7", balding, with salt and pepper hair and a mustache, wearing a light blue shirt and khaki shorts.

Blocks away, the detective and FBI agent spotted a man walking into 385 Westminster Street. On the surface, he matched the description.

The bank teller was later able to identify him as one and the same, and Joseph Amatel, 47, was arrested. Police found he had a wad of money in his front pants pocket. They said Amatel later confessed.

Amatel is now charged with second degree robbery and was held until arraignment at 6th District Court.
