PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) -- Police are investigating after a Cumberland Farms clerk said someone attacked him and stole his store's bank deposits.
Police said the robber attacked the 66-year-old clerk at the Cumberland Farms on Smithfield Avenue Sunday. The attacker struck the clerk several times, then took the store's bank deposits from him. The clerk told police the deposits totaled about $4,500.
Police said Tuesday they are reviewing the store's surveillance video.
