WARWICK, R.I. (WPRI) – Police are trying to identify a suspect who allegedly robbed two gas stations early Sunday morning.
According to Warwick Police, the suspect entered the Shell gas station on Route 5 and demanded money from the clerk before taking off. Thirty minutes later, the same male suspect entered the Mobil gas station on Jefferson Boulevard and demanded cash.
The suspect allegedly made statements about using a firearm in both robberies, but no one reported seeing one.
The suspect is described as a white male, 20-30-years-old, with a thin build and facial hair. He was wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt, dark baseball cap, and dark pants.
Video footage captured a dark blue Ford van as the getaway car. It had an orange extension ladder on the roof and distinctive white lettering on the side of the van. The van was last seen entering Route 95.
There may be a second suspect who was driving the vehicle.
If you have any information about the identity of the suspect or where they are please contact Warwick Police at 468-4200.
