Same mosque was targed by vandals last summer

NORTH SMITHFIELD, R.I. (WPRI) – Police are investigating a burglary at the same mosque that was vandalized last August.

Surveillance video shows the suspect breaking into the Masjid Al Islam a couple of days ago.

Police say the crook made his way into the office and made off with about $1,000.

The incident comes 6 months after someone was caught on surveillance video vandalizing a sign outside the mosque, but charges against the suspect were later dropped.

So far no arrests have been made.
