PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) -- Two Providence College students were robbed at gunpoint late Sunday night.
Michael Luis, 20, and Abigail Garrahan, 18, told Providence police that they were accosted on their way home from a bar on Douglas Avenue.
According to the report, an unidentified group of young men surprised Luis and Garrahan and shoved them to the ground. Luis said he was punched in the face and that two of the alleged assailants pulled out a shotgun and a handgun.
The victims handed over money, bank cards and Garrahan's purse, and their attackers fled the scene.
Providence police searched the area, but they were unsuccessful.
