NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WPRI) -- The DUI case of Rhode Island's former House Minority Leader will be heading to trial.
An attorney for former Rep. Robert Watson tells us that a plea deal was not reached Tuesday.
Watson was relieved of his position as House Minority Leader back in May of 2011 after he was arrested on driving under the influence and drug charges at a DUI checkpoint in New Haven.
Watson was also arrested on marijuana charges in South Kingstown in January. In June, he announced that he would not seek re-election.
