NEW BEDFORD, Mass. (WPRI) -- Surveillance video at a convenience store shows a frightening robbery where crooks armed with guns and wearing masks burst in, and tie up the clerk.
According to the clerk, he was tied up on Sunday night at the North Front Street market with the cord from his own computer.
In the video, the clerk is behind the counter when the three suspects walk in, faces disguised, and point a gun at him.
The clerk then gets down behind the counter. When the second suspect comes around the back, he grabs the clerks hands and holds a knife to him.
The masked suspects then take the cash from the register and rip the computer wires out, using those same wires to tie up the clerk.
The clerk, Roberto Osorio said he told the masked men to take whatever they wanted, just not to hurt him. He said they put a gun right to his stomach.
Eventually, Osorio and another clerk were able to call 911. They were not injured, although very scared.
The suspects got away with cash from the register.
The clerks believe the men were in their twenties and were speaking Spanish. One was also wearing white sneakers. Police are still searching them.
