Deadly crash suspect appears in court

JOHNSTON, R.I. (WPRI) - A Johnston man charged in connection with a deadly car crash in Maine appeared in court Tuesday.

According to The Portland Press Herald, Christopher Bennett did not enter a plea, but his bail was lowered from $300,000 to $25,000.

He is charged with manslaughter and drunk driving for the crash that happened in the town of Biddleford early Sunday morning.

Twenty-year-old Anthony Ciccone of Pepperell, Massachusetts was killed in the crash.
