Former Central Falls mayor due in court

Seeking 21 months in jail on federal corruption

CENTRAL FALLS, R.I. (WPRI) -- The former mayor of Central Falls and his business partner are scheduled to be sentenced Tuesday on federal corruption charges.

Charles Moreau is seeking 21 months in jail.

He pleaded guilty last year to accepting gifts from his business partner Michael Bouthilette , in exchange for a lucrative city contract.

Bouthilette also pleaded guilty to the federal corruption charge.
