FALL RIVER, Mass. (WPRI) -- Two banks were robbed less than an hour apart Friday morning, Fall River police said.
The first hold-up happened just after 10 a.m. at the Santo Christo Credit Union on Columbia Street. Police said a white woman in her 20s, about 5'3" tall and weighing approximately 130 pounds, tossed a note over the counter demanding cash. One of the tellers gave her money, and she fled.
Then about 55 minutes latter, just before 11 a.m., police said a white man, about six feet tall with a thin build, robbed the Bay Coast Bank on Bedford Street. He demanded cash, then took off.
Police said neither suspect showed a weapon.
Police ask anyone who can identify the suspects to call the Major Crimes Division at 508-324-2796, or the anonymous tip line at 508-672-TIPS (8477).
