DIGHTON, Mass. (WPRI) -- The superintendent of a school district in which a Fall River man accused of child molestation once taught says they have been in touch with police.
Jesse Perry, 58, was arrested last week on a child molestation charge . Eyewitness News has learned Perry was a long-time teacher at Dighton Middle School.
"We are aware of the situation, and have been in close and regular contact with the police over the past few days," the superintendent of the Dighton-Rehoboth School District said in a statement. "If any student would like any kind of support, they should see their building administrator or guidance counselor."
Investigators have not said how Perry came into contact with the alleged victims.
Bristol police said Monday that Perry also used to coach Pop Warner football and little league in Bristol.
Perry's younger brother Richard is also facing child molestation charges. He was indicted in December.
