Cranston Police search for bank robbery suspect

Man is 6 feet tall, 40-50 years old

CRANSTON, R.I. (WPRI) – Cranston Police are trying to identify a suspect who robbed the Washington Trust Bank on Tuesday.

Around 4 p.m. on January 15, the male suspect entered the Washington Trust Bank in Cranston and handed the teller a note indicating the bank was being robbed. The suspect then pulled out what the teller believed was the butt of a handgun from a bag in his hand.

The suspect is described as a white male around six feet tall about 40 to 50 years old. He had a thin build with blonde/gray hair. The suspect also had a bandage on his cheek, and was wearing glasses and a fake mustache.

He was wearing a grey zippered sweatshirt, a knitted dark colored hat with a brim, faded jeans, and white shoes.
