No sign of how the burglar got in

BARRINGTON, R.I. (WPRI) -- Police in Barrington say a Washington Road bakery has been burglarized for the second time in three weeks.

Friday morning, a delivery person came in to Borelli's Bakery about 6:30 a.m. to find the cash register was not where it was supposed to be on the counter. Cash kept inside the register was gone; money in a hidden cash box elsewhere in the store was also stolen, according to Barrington Police.

There was no sign of forced entry telling how the burglar could have entered the store, but police believe it happened between nine o'clock and eleven o'clock Thursday night. Lt. Det. Dino DeCrescenzo said they're reviewing security camera tapes from the store, to get a better idea how the burglar got in.

The previous break-in appears to not be related, police said.

The bakery was back open and operating later Friday morning.
