PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) - A name and photo led police to one of two men they believe forced their way into a South Attleboro home Monday afternoon.

Attleboro Police got a warrant for the arrest of Ahmahd Crowell, 21, of Providence, after they say he dropped his Community College of Rhode Island ID at the scene.

Crowell faced a judge Wednesday in Providence, on a fugitive charge. He was charged with armed robbery, home invasion, and assault with a deadly weapon after police say he and another man targeted a home on Newport Ave. in South Attleboro.

They stormed into the home about 12:30 p.m. Monday, brandishing handguns, stealing cash and a laptop, and then running away into nearby woods, police told the Attleboro Sun Chronicle. Nobody was hurt in the incident, though there were two people home at the time.

Neither man was found Monday after a manhunt of two-and-a-half hours.

Rhode Island State Police arrested Crowell on Tuesday, at his girlfriend's home. Wednesday morning in court, a lawyer for Crowell waived extradition to Attleboro. He was expected to face charges there later Wednesday or on Thursday.

Police are still trying to identify the second suspect.
