Consultants say move would save New Bedford money

NEW BEDFORD, MASS. (WPRI) - Officials in New Bedford are considering a plan to cut back the frequency of indoor air quality tests at Keith Middle School

Engineering consultants have recommended reducing the number of PCB tests at the middle school from three times a year to twice a year.

According to the New Bedford Standard Times , consultants say the move would save the city money, and students who attend the school would still be safe.

The frequent tests are a result of the discovery of contaminated soil on school property back in 2006.
