(WPRI) - Mike Montecalvo sits down with military analyst Lt. General Reginald Centracchio for a one-on-one interview.

The general says despite cuts in the new defense department budget, Electric Boat is adding high paying jobs.

He says RI needs to re-think how we educate the workforce so they can compete for these types of jobs.

He also talked about the 10 year anniversary of the opening of GITMO, despite a campaign promise by Barack Obama, GITMO is still open.

The General also comments on the number of police officers who’ve died across the country this month because of gunfire.
