EAST PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) - In this week's web exclusive, Eyewitness News Analyst Lt. Gen. Reginald Centracchio sits down with Mike Montecalvo to talk in-depth about the H1N1flu virus.

The general says if a disaster breaks out, mutual assistance would be used for police, fire and hospitals.

He went on to say the state is ready for a disaster but more could always be done. Daily briefings and news conferences would keep Rhode Islanders and officials up to date.

He also says authorities need to investigate why seasonal flu vaccines are in short supply, and parents need to do a better job of keeping children safe.

Centracchio also believes the RI General Assembly would vote in the upcoming two day session to strip the Governor of power to appoint a replacement if a senator steps down. He believes Reed will take a job with the Obama Administration if asked. Although, Reed has said he would stay.

The general also talked about the need to control Taliban of violence will continue.
