PAWTUCKET, R.I. (WPRI) - Police are investigating a bank robbery on Newport Avenue in Pawtucket.
Eyewitness News has a crew on the scene, as police surrounded the Webster Bank at 265 Newport Avenue on Wednesday afternoon.
Police tell us that the suspect passed a note to the teller demanding cash and then fled with an unknown amount of cash. No weapon was shown, according to authorities.
Police are searching for the suspect described as a young male, wearing a black hat, a gray hooded sweatshirt and glasses.
Police continue to investigate.
