NEW YORK , NY (WPRI) - Looks like Red Sox outfield Jason Bay is headed for the Big Apple. According to reports on a New York radio station, Bay is ready to sign with the Mets.
The deal hinges on a physical and the team may make a formal announcement early next week, said WFAN afternoon host Mike Francesa.
Bay, who turned down a 4-year, $60 million deal to stay with the Red Sox, was one of the more high-profile free-agent players this off-season.
