NORTH STONINGTON, Conn. (WPRI) -- The search for two missing children taken by their grandmother came to a tragic end late Tuesday night.
Connecticut State Police said they found the bodies of two children and a woman in a van in the town of Preston around 9:30 p.m.
Police said they've tentatively identified the victims as 6-month-old Ashton Perry, his 2-year-old brother Alton Perry, and their grandmother, 47-year-old Debra Denison.
According to state police, Denison picked up the children at daycare around 2:30 p.m. Tuesday afternoon. An Amber Alert and a Silver Alert were issued Tuesday night.
State police said the medical examiner had yet to determine a cause of death for the three victims.
