(WPRI) - Having a spouse or loved one deployed overseas can be stressful, but with the added financial woes, it can seem unbearable.
In light of money matters hitting military families harder than ever, new smartphone applications have been released to curb finance struggles.
For example, one app features budgeting tools to help families adjust to losing incentive pays when their service member returns home. The app also contains advice for single service members looking for ways to save.
While many soldiers use their leave immediately after deployment to go on vacations, experts suggest waiting to plan until emotions calm down.
Just remember, certain situations are more complicated for military families, but that doesn’t mean there isn’t a way to find helpful advice.
