(UNDATED) - If you're in the market for a new TV or camcorder, you're in luck.

If there's any good news that can come from a recession it's this. Retailers are desperate to win you back, and the only way to do that is to give you incentive to shop.

Buying the items that click, tap and touch seem to be tops on the wish list this holiday season.

In fact research shows prices on flat screen TV’s, GPS systems and computers have fallen to record lows.

Camcorders, and even high definition- DVD players are also seeing big drops. Prices on electronics drop over time, but the Consumer Electronics Association says the declines this year are steeper than normal.

Experts say saving money is especially important for consumers this year and the competition will be especially fierce.

Mp3 players, video games and digital cameras are among the most popular gifts consumers will give this holiday season.
