(WPRI) - Ordering take-out might seem like the easier option on a lazy-summer night, but it isn't always the healthiest.
A recent study shows that ordering food through online websites and apps will not only cost you more cash, but more calories.
In response, some sites are adding more options for customers. For example, extra pull-down menus asking customers if they would like a low-carb/gluten-free substitute.
In addition to making healthier choices when ordering, make sure to set aside half of the meal when it arrives. Take-out generally provides bigger portions, but take advantage of that by stretching it across several meals.
