NORTH PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) - A North Providence woman says a debt collection company was after her for a debt she says wasn't hers.

Running a small business in Rhode Island is not easy, every penny counts. That's why this business woman wasn't about to pay for someone else's debt.

She called 12 for action to make sure other businesses don't just pay to make it go away.
