East Providence, R.I. (WPRI) - Before you pack your child's next lunch, there's a recall you need to know about.

Close to 250-thousand insulated lunch boxes with freezer gel packs are being recalled.

The gel contains diethylene glycol and ethylene glycol that can leak out of damaged freezer packs and pose a poison hazard if ingested.

The company has received two separate reports of a dog chewing and ingesting the gel , in one case death resulted.

Consumers are advised to stop using the gel packs and return the lunch boxes for a full refund.

Another recall is also underway for a similar freezer gel pack.

The Time Travelin' Chef expandable thermal food carrier is recalling 55-thousand gel packs.

The gel contains the same chemicals that pose the leaking hazard in the first recall.

Consumers should again immediately stop using the product and dispose of the gel packs, or return them to Walmart for a refund.
