UNDATED (WPRI) - There are ways for people to get prescription drugs for a reduced cost, or in some cases for free.
A growing number of state and local governments, doctors' officers, non-profit agencies, and businesses are offering co-pay assistance cards. It allows people to get vital prescriptions filled without paying a hefty co-pay.
Some of the cards are free, while others come with a small fee. Right now, the cards cover about 300 medications, and anyone with health insurance can get them.
