AG's office investigating bridal salon

Local brides claim salon is breaking vows on gowns

WEST WARWICK, R.I. (WPRI) - The Rhode Island Attorney General's Office is actively looking into numerous complaints against Cinderella's Bridal Salon and its owner, Scott Gray.

Several local brides called Eyewitness News for help, claiming the West Warwick salon broke its vows when it comes to designer gowns.

"I saw your news story and I got a little worried," Carissa DiMuccio said.

Carissa contacted Eyewitness News after seeing our original report with several other brides, who said their designer gowns were either never ordered, or never paid for by the salon. The designer of the gowns confirmed their stories.

In a statement to Eyewitness News, the designer says, "Liz Fields has not been doing business with Cinderella's Bridal Salon in Rhode Island since September 2011."  The statement went on to say, "We have been alerted to cases of bridesmaids dresses and wedding gowns ordered which we have no record of."

After the original Eyewitness News report, a number of brides contacted the RI AG's office to file a complaint against Cinderella's Bridal Salon.

The salon remains closed up tight with a sign on the door that says, "Due to illness the salon is closed."
