(UNDATED) - The Food and Drug Administration or FDA is expanding its recall on products that might be contaminated with salmonella.

Additional products manufactured with a common food enhancer called hydrolyzed vegetable protein, are being pulled from grocery store shelves. Not only from grocery stores, but check your pantry too.

The list of recalled products containing this food enhancer is up to almost 200, and according to health officials, the list is expected to get even bigger.

Open up your fridge, check your cupboards because, according to health officials, chances are you have one of these recalled products.

The food and drug administration are investigating findings of salmonella in hydrolyzed vegetable protein manufactured by basic food flavors in Las Vegas, NV. H.V.P. is a common ingredient used most frequently as a flavor enhancer in many processed foods, including soups, sauces, dips, mixes.

The biggest concern, according to health officials is the fact that most of the products containing this ingredient, are ready to eat meaning they don't have to be cooked, which usually kills any bacteria, like salmonella.

Some of T.Marzetti's dips are part of the recall. Consumers simply open up container and just eat the dip inside, posing a real risk to salmonella poisoning.

According to health officials, the list of 153 recalled products so far is just the beginning.
