PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) - "Young Frankenstein," the Mel Brooks musical is launching its national tour at PPAC in Providence and thousands of people are expected to come to the capital city boosting the economy.
Susan Stroman, the director and choreographer of the show said, "It's going to make you laugh and it's going to make you smile. I think of all the musicals this is the most family oriented of all."
If past PPAC premiers are any indicator, the Broadway show will attract theater lovers from across the region.
The local economy has already seen a boost with cast and crew members staying in area hotels and eating in restaurants.
Young Frankenstein begins its nation tour in Providence September 29th through October 4th.
