WARWICK, R.I. (WPRI) -- Thousands of job seekers and more than 100 employers will be in Warwick Thursday for the 5th Annual Eyewitness News Job Fair.
We decided to speak with one ambitious job seeker about his hunt for employment.
"Every time that you go somewhere and apply, they always tell you to go and apply online," said Kevin Ray. "I prefer face-to-face interaction, I think it's always best to go face the employer that you're trying to get a job from, and that's why I'm here today."
Ray also filled us in on how he prepared for the event.
"Last night I worked on my resume, I added some things in, I tweaked it a little bit, and I looked around and I read about the employers that were going to be here today on WPRI.com," he said.
Another very important tip for finding a job is punctuality, and Ray is in good shape for already being aware of that. Seekers were asked to arrive at the fair at 8 a.m. Thursday, and he was sure to be there by 7:30.
