Man questioned at TF Green over bag

WARWICK, R.I. (AP) - A man is being questioned by security officials after allegedly trying to bring a suspicious package through T.F. Green Airport in his carry-on bag.

Officials cleared passengers from the main terminal waiting area after the security scare about 5:30 a.m. Tuesday.

A federal security director told The Providence Journal the package was safe and not explosive. It was removed by a bomb squad.

Officials would not release any other information about the item or the man being held for questioning.

By about 7:50 a.m., passengers were again moving through security lines.
