CUMBERLAND, R.I. (WPRI) - The worst of Monday's winter storm is over. However frigid cold air is expected this evening.
According to Eyewitness News Meteorologist Tony Petrarca says Monday's storm dumped 6 to 10" of snow, bringing the seasonal total so far this Winter up to 50 inches !! That's twice as much snow as last year.

Several Rhode Islanders said they were taking the storm in stride.
"Considering we've had snow on March first before, sure it wasn't a surprise. Not that I like it any, but it wasn't a surprise," said Helena Lopes of Pawtucket.
"I have wonderful neighbors who come and help me after they dig themselves out," said Phyllis Osidiack, a senior citizen who found herself digging out her car for the fifth time this winter.
The storm forced the cancellation of most schools in Rhode Island for Monday and caused quite a messy commute. In addition, T.F. Green and Logan Airports experienced several cancellations and delays.
