(WPRI) - Is TV Promotion your passion? Are you known for being a news junkie? Are you a creative writer who thrives on producing compelling promo copy?

Then our award winning creative team is looking for you! WPRI/WNAC/ENAC -TV, the LIN Media station in Providence, RI, has an immediate opening in the Creative Services Department for a full-time Nightside Topical Writer/Producer/Editor.

The ideal candidate for this position must have experience writing topical news promo copy along with the following experience requirements:

 

  • Strong news tease writing skills
  • Excellent communicator
  • Possess solid news judgment
  • Highly motivated and organized
  • The ability to work under tight deadlines
  • A self-starter

Applicants will be responsible for working nightside Monday to Friday for writing, producing and editing daily newscast topical promos, proof of performance spots, work on station image, and other duties relating to the Creative Services Department. This position also requires editing experience on a non-linear editing system (AVID). A four-year college degree is also preferred in journalism or communications. Two years of broadcast news and/or journalism experience is recommended. Former or current news producers with technical and creative abilities are encouraged to apply.
