PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) - If you are looking for the best of both worlds in a dog, Oscar may be just the pup for you.

The seven-year-old dachshund-mix was with his previous family for two years before they had to give him up. Now, he's been up for adoption at the Providence Animal Rescue League for several weeks.

According to shelter staff, Oscar likes to run around and play, but he's also a great lap dog who likes to cuddle.

They said he is very loving and friendly.

Anyone interested in Oscar or any of the other animals available for adoption at PARL, should call the shelter at 401-421-1399.
