PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) – Seven different Rhode Island primaries are expected to be recounted on Monday.
The Board of Elections will re-tally the votes for five general assembly races and two democratic primaries.
General Assembly races expected to be recounted are:
House District 32 (Democratic)
House District 40 (Democratic)
House District 58 (Democratic)
House District 65 (Democratic)
Senate District 17 (Democratic)
Democratic primaries expected to be recounted are:
North Providence Town Council District 2
Pawtucket Ward Committee District 6
These seven races were considered close to call, District 58 being the tightest race with longtime Pawtucket representative William San Bento Junior leading Carlos Tobon by just three votes.
