PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) -- Poll workers in Rhode Island may soon have to get more training before Election Day.
A local lawmaker, State Senator Paul Jabour has plans to introduce a new bill next year that would require poll workers to attend four training sessions in the two years before an election.
Right now, poll workers only need to complete one.
This push for change comes after many voters experienced long lines at polling places during November’s general election.
